The government have proposed an expansion of the snooping laws, which will permit several more government organisations such as Local Councils, the NHS, FSA and others to tap into our e-mail and telephone calls for the purposes of ‘crime prevention’ How does that make you feel?

sorry but i can't accept even the slightest thought of someone recording my activities on the phone or on my computer. I don't break the law so my information won't be of any use to the security services but it will be of use to some other unauthorised person.

Whoever they are, are not abiding by the laws, and are snooping with no real basis. My computer is currently being snooped, and all I am doing is surfing for eco-related information. A real threat to the nation. I find it intrusive, and a real waste of tax-payers money. I do wonder about the mindset of those actually doing it, and whether they are quite right in the head, it must be most banal of occupations, as most people will be just getting on with their lives and the snoopers will find the square root of nothing for close on 100% of the time. That is the real failure in this policy, trying to use technology to achieve something that should be done using real intelligence. Brain power. I think that form of technology has been turned off.

I can't stand the thought of someone reading my emails. What is happening to our rights??

There has been an increased threat from terrorism recently so i can accept a slight intrusion into my private life for now but it shouldn't be a long term thing.
